A succession pipeline strengthened with the Integral Assessment

Volkswagen Caminhões e Ônibus wanted to strengthen its succession pipeline by identifying high-potential leaders with depth and confidence. WePeople applied the Integral Assessment, evaluating leadership systemically and guiding executives to use the results in the ongoing development of their teams.

The client

Volkswagen Caminhões e Ônibus (VWCO) is Volkswagen's commercial vehicle operation in Brazil, responsible for designing, manufacturing, selling and supporting trucks and bus chassis for Brazil and Latin America.

The challenge

The company wanted to strengthen its succession pipeline by identifying high-potential leaders and preparing them for strategic positions. The challenge was not only to identify talent, but to do it with depth and confidence, considering multiple dimensions of leadership and making sure managers were prepared to develop these professionals on an ongoing basis.

The solution

The solution WePeople proposed and implemented

WePeople applied the Integral Assessment, a methodology that evaluates leadership systemically: emotional intelligence, decision-making capacity, performance in complex environments, values, motivation, competency profile and engagement. The process included in-depth career history interviews, making it possible to understand each leader's current stage and future potential, as well as their readiness for greater complexity or career moves.

WePeople also worked directly with the executives, guiding them on how to use the assessment results in day-to-day management and strengthening feedback, career conversations and continuous development, which supported succession building and the organization's pipeline.

Results

  • A succession pipeline strengthened with rigor and depth.
  • A clear view of each leader's potential and readiness.
  • Executives prepared to develop talent on an ongoing basis.
  • A stronger culture of learning and development.

WePeople helps deepen our understanding of leadership through the Assessment, identifying how leaders connect to the business, to change and to the human dimension. This view is essential for developing leadership that is more strategic and aligned with delivering results.
